Lacrima Di Morro D'Alba

With slight chill on it, this wine, reminiscent of a cross between Dolcetto and Pinot Noir (a decided blueberry quality about it) went quite well with my version of pasta in clam sauce.

Whole wheat penne (firm--al dente) with tiny clams (vongole), yellow peppers, shallots, garlic, thyme, oregano, basil, cooked in olive oil plus juice of the clams and a dash of marsala, topped with fresh grated regianno and slices of fresh basil with parsley.
