2001 Nicolis Angelo Seccal Ripasso Valpolicella

We're trying to get more into Italian wines, so we've picked up a few recently. This one was a very dark purple in color, though clear if that makes any sense. Plummy nose with dusty fruit flavors and a nice acidity. Carries some oak on the finish. We liked it pretty well with homemade pizzas. 13% alc. We paid about $21 locally.
