2003 Oreno, Tenuta Sette Ponti Super Tuscan

Had put away a couple of these for celebrations, and popped one tonight for D coming off her meds after surgery last week to repair a torn rotator cuff. Whew, big wine! Gorgeous nose shows up immediately with red and black fruit, inky in the glass, full and rich on the palate, long finish. Wonderful! About $84 (choke, gasp!). With take-out from an Italian joint.... chicken breasts stuffed with proscuito and provolone in a cream sauce with mushrooms. Yumsville!
