Brite ruby. Solid pinot nose without too much barnyard yet. Good entry, solid center and a 3 lapper finish. Lots of the berries mostly straw, some nice sweet spicy components, and a hint of leather. 89/93. 18 at my favorite pushers. Forgot the alc% but ordered a box. WW

Thanks for the notes -- have one that I'll be popping on Friday night. Runs about $23 here, though

Ours may be a different bottle ("Vinas 3"?), and the website only lists their 2003 offerings, so I can't confirm it. If it is the same bottle, then there may be bottle variation issues, or perhaps our palates are just different. Nevertheless, ours had the color, nose, and exact flavor profile of a Morgon Beaujolais. Not that there is anything wrong with that, as we like Morgon, but not sure that we will spend $23 on another.

No, it was the '04, but it said "Vinas 3" on the bottle, so I'm thinking that perhaps Row Eleven had more than one bottling of their '04. Their website, however, only lists their '03 offerings, and doesn't mention anything about what they put out in '04, so I don't know if we had the same one.

OK, a bit of web searching indicates that they put out four different '04s. I had their "California" one, which is supposed to retail at $18.
