2006 Le Clos Jordanne Village Pinot Nor

Le Clos Jordanne is a rather acclaimed winery in the Niagara on the Bench area and is a partnership between Vincor (now Constellation) and Boisset of Burgundy. And this thing shows it pedigre.

06 nothing to write home about for a vintage This thing opened up thin and tough, hollow almost. With some air, decent fruit came back but the nice characteristic is the solid backbone and the focus of the wine. This thing reminded me of the pure, tight and focused pinots from Francois Lumpp in Marole. Very nicely done for the price. So PN's in Canada Eh?

I've picked up a wack of their 07"s and now am looking forward to those as the 07 vintage was rather successful.
