At first I was put off. This does not taste like the mild, fruity pinot noirs I have had in the past, but as it opened up I was impressed. Light ruby color, nose of berries; cherry and berry flavors, some pomegranate and oak, a touch of mocha. Short finish. This is a BOLD one, and took a bit of getting used to. I like! $22 -- 90 BK points.

I was and am still put off with this wine. I am curious though, do you think this wine may be in an early sleep. I only ask because I've been so impressed with thier wine in the past. Do you think time in the decanter would help. If so, how much? I'm at a loss with this one. I even thought bottle variation and I've tried 3 different bottles from 3 different places; same thing. I'm glad you liked it which gives me hope. If you have any suggestions, let me know pleassssssse.

Well, I'm not as experienced a winer as you, but I can tell you this, the longer it sat in the glass, the better it tasted. Decanting may be the answer to the problem.

Finished this today. Definitely needed decanting. I took a sip, it tasted nasty green; left it in the glass about 45 minutes and viola, there it was again, muy delicioso.

Very interesting how some wines will do this a lot more than others.

Hey, thanks BK; I'm looking forward to trying again. I'll handle it the same way you did.
Thanks again, mark
