I'm sure I was " Bagged " on this hummer. Bought a box after tryimg at my local pushers wine bar. If the bottle I was served was as thin, acidic, and with the minimal fruit that this bottle possesess I must have been drunk. There is so much bottle variation in this case that it's rediculas. The last bottles of this I had were at least passable.Guess this is another " Guest " wine. WW

Just goes to show what the devil I know. This bottle could have not only have been born in a different vineyard but a different country. Light aromatics show some sweet spice, a brite cherry/plum fruit, a scoch of leather and a tad of barnyard. Silky and smooth as Drew handling his 45 and as lovely in the mouth as Georgie on her 1st day back in class.Hard to fathom these bloomin' burgs. This bottle easily rates 89/90 and a 91 for value.ww

Methinks the Bourgs proffer more bottle variation than any other region. At the prices they get, I'm not willing to gamble. Even when WOW finds a value, I'm gunshy.

I stopped buying Louis Jadot wines a while ago due to bottle variation I found with many of their offerings and WW....it's a Glock .40.

Must have something to do with the way negotiants put together, and then bottle, their lot. Perhaps, they are drawing from more than one tank (or barrel) when bottling, without doing what should always be done with separate lots--blend them before bottling.

There's a place in California that has not learned this lesson, yet, it has a cult following that defies understanding and price/value ratio.

Seems to be very popular, Drew. My son-in-law just switched to the Glock .40 from a Beretta 9mm. Said he'd rather have the opportunity to stop them cold than just drilling a hole through them. Either one scares the hell out of me. Oh yeah, the wine. I've completely abandoned France in favor of the CA juice, mainly SB and Central Coast. A lot bigger, but that's where my tastes seem to be going in my dotage.

My apologies to Misser Jadot. This bottle I drank last nite has started showing the characteristics I like about Pinot. Nice barnyard, earthy, red fruity nose. Still has some tannins in the background to lose.
Nice mouthfeel and a medium 3-lapper finish.
Didn't go outside and shout, but a nice drink. Still in the 89 area. 13% alc. WW
