I've not tried it, but will keep an eye out for it.

Just got back from Chicago -- picked up a few wines that I can't find down here. Any experience with the following? (I know these are not "house pinot" wines, but I don't feel like starting a new thread)

Patricia Green 2001 Oregon Pinot Noir
Lemelson 1999 Thea's Selection Oregon Pinot Noir
Belle Glos 2001 Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir
Phillip Naddef 1999 Gevrey-Chambertin

Haven't tried any of those but have heard both complimentary and negative on the Patricia Green wines. Would be interested in your notes on that one.

We tasted the first three while I was at Esquin. They were all big hits. The Patricia Green Oregon was the most impressive, IMHO. It was the most balanced, if not the most explosive. That would be the Lemelson. Good stuff, though, all of it.

In another of my value pinot efforts, I tried this one again -- had tried it at a tasting, but this is my first crack at a full bottle.

2001 Leaping Lizard Los Carneros Pinot Noir
Appealing, bright cherry fruit and cherry nose. Some tea elements on the finish. Varietal character is there. Very crisp and clean, fruit forward. Nice QPR, it seems, and a fine summer sipper. Paid $9.99 at a wine bar/shop. Have tossed the bottle, so I don't know the alc. %. Of the wines I've mentioned above, I'd place it above the Brancott and below the Greyback. Probably a draw with the Villa Mt. Eden, if not just a nose ahead. Still partial to that Greyback for a bargain pinot, but I'll buy this again for variety, especially at the price.
