A friend of mine opened one of these and then a second when the first did not appear right

2007 HIRSCH VINEYARDS SAN ANDREAS PINOT NOIR: I think it was corked because it was completely muted with some iron rust nose....not completely corked but just enough to take the wine out of it. My friend believes that it may have been heat damaged but I did not see any leaks nor did it taste stewed. For his sake, I'm hoping it was corked cuz he bought an unopened case [img]/ubb/smile.gif[/img]


2006 HIRSCH VINEYARDS: Transluscent bright garnet in colur. Sweet fruit, a bit more evolved than I would have thought for an 06 but drinking really well. Good structure, a bit tart, some sandalwood, slightly smokey, good finish
