We were given a bottle of 1997 Chateau Paradis Casseuil red bordeaux. I confess my ignorance on wines, and would like to know if this is a "good" wine?

Welcome to the board, Isabelle.
The wine is produced by the Domaine Barons de Rothchilds and is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot and 5% Malbec. Is it "good"? It is, if you like it. Expensive? No. I have one bottle in the cellar and the database says that it was purchased at Sam's. It's one of those that I've not gotten around to trying, to determine if I should buy more. Suggest you enjoy it with beef.

Hi Is and welcome. If the wine is good I suggest you open it shortly as the 97 vintage leaves much to be desired, even by the top producers. WW
