Good article on Bordeaux

The Wall Street Journal wine column today is a good article on what we sometimes refer to as "lesser" Bordeaux - bargain wines of $13 or less from that wonderful region. See at http://wine.wsj.com/

Sometimes their column misses the boat -- like the time they featured Cab Franc and didn't mention the Loire Valley examples! -- but today's Bordeaux run-down was useful.

One of the wines listed in the WSJ "index", but which received no commentary in the text, is the Chateau Haut-Guiraud 1996 Cote de Bourg, a solid, round and well-made wine that is on the shelf at Foodie's NY wine shop Is-Wine!
