My first question has to deal w/ what I've heard from my girlfriend. she was talking about a wine that she had tasted before, and I was hopeing to find it for her birthday. It was a Puilly-fuisse, and she said that it was a "blush" running about $40 per bottle...I went out searching, but w/ all the Puilly-fuisse options last night I felt rather overwelmed...I would appreciate any help into what I could possibly be looking for!!! Thank you!!!

My second question is that this weekend I'm serving a lasagna for dinner w/ garlic bread and a few other ammenities. The lasagna is not going to be harshly spiced, but it is a soft seasoned, not quite sweet taste. For dessert a friend is bring a cheese cake. I'm looking for a match that will go well, but these are going to be mainly college students not very versed in wines, so any advice here also?

I don't think I have heard of a "blush" Puilly-Fuisse. Blush means pink. P-F is a white wine made from Chardonnay grapes. It gets its name (as do all french wines) from the area it is made in.

As far as the lasagna, Go with a Chianti Classico. Gabbiano makes a nice one that is quite available and their '98 should be out now. Plus the label is quite ornate, makes for an interesting conversation piece. Do you know if there will be any sort of other flavoring with the cheese cake? chocolate or cherries or whatever?
