I wish I was more familiar with this wine. I wish I could say that I've had consumed several cases by now, but I haven't and based on the current prices, I won't. This will remain a special once in a while treat.

Had some preconceived notions that were dismissed as soon as I was able to put the glass under my nose. This thing was still rather closed. Fresh for sure, some berries, some secondary notes, but still rather tight. This feels like an excellent wine, nicely balanced but needing still a few years yet to start to unwind. As it was tonight, it was enjoyable as a classically proportioned Bordeaux, not extreme in any direction.
