BRW and I sampled a couple of nice 95 Bordeauxs, Haut Bages Liberal and Les Ormes de Pez. The Liberal was first out of the decanter and showed it was worthy of its' 5th growth status. Nice medium ruby color. Nice full boquet of blackcurrents, strawberries, vanilla accents, and sweet spioces. After 2 hours in the decanter became weightier and some supple tannins came on board. The de Pez was more aggressive both in the nose and taste. Deeply colored and dense. The nose showed blackcurrents, sweet spices, and heavy fruit flavors both red and black. It was just as weighty on the palate and with the tannins showing should improve for another 2-5 years. Both are delicious wines in their own right and hit the outstanding level. Both were part of my 95 futures purchase and both were under 20 per clatter. WW
