Another orphan that jumped out today shouting "DRINK-ME!!!DRINK-ME!!!" so being the sweet, kind, always accomidating feller I be I acquiesed. Could maybe be one of the best 79s' I've ever had and with the whiskers has taken on an almost burgandian aspect. Gorgeous nose, great mouthfeel, tremendous length, this sucker is one killer bottle of grape. Glad I heard the call. WW

It's amazing how some of those oldies can deliver the goods! And '79 wasn't even that remarkable a vintage, as I remember.

There were some remarkable Bordeaus made like Margaux, Ferriere, Malescot-St.Expuery and my personal all time favorite Du Terte. By and large it was overshadowed at the time by the vastly overrated(IMHO) 78s'. WW
