The color was still rather dark but a noticeable bricking was beginning on the edge. Very nice elegant perfume, spices and cedar nose. Dark garnet color. On the palate, medium + body, ripe blackberries, spices, smoky and cedar and a hint of minerals. Tannins are smoothing out, great persistence for a medium + bodied wine. Developed well in the glass, some of the dark fruits coming back after about one hour's decanting.

Nice elegant drink that worked very well with a hearty stew that I threw together to welcome in the Autumn weather!...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....WHERE THE H$LL DID SUMMER GO!!!!!

One of our biggest wine surprises was their 2002. Ready to drink, more so than most 2000's. Smoky, leathery, still showing fruit. A real sleeper. Last couple cases I found were ~ $12.
