Grand Cru Saint-Emilion.
Merlot, Cab Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
I have a few and wanted to check one out. More modern styled. Deep purple in the glass. Rich flavors of blackberry and dark cherry and earth. Quite of lot of very fine grained tannins which didn't subside over several hours. Recorked 1/2 bottle and re-visited yesterday. Same flavors with the addition of deep, dark chocolate notes. Some of the tannins had subsided but still a ton left. Won't touch another for 3 to 5. Should be berry, berry nice at peak. 14.5% Alc/vol.
$30.
