Last night I tasted the 1984: holding up wonderfully.

Mushroom nose with a fruity undercurrent, smooth yet slightly spicy finish.

Hey, that was from an off-vintage -- it can't be good. Whadda da matter with youz!! ;-)

Nice to drink some wines from off-vintages like 1987 and get a nice wine at good value to boot.

In fact, we tasted it blind, and some thought it was a Rhone that had softened....
