2000 Marquis de Calon

A second (?) wine of Calon Segur. Deep dark opaque purple garnet still, a somewhat muted nose but still a nice bit of pencil shavings, deep dark ripe fruits, but not too much in the way of complexity. A nice rounded smooth mouthfeel but still thick and lush, same a nose but with a bit of gycol. Perhaps should've left it for a bit more but tannins appear to be well controlled.
