This wine is a third growth Bordeaux from the Margaux appellation. The 40 acre estate is planted to 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. Approximately 8000 cases of the Grand vin is produced per year. Bought a six pack at $16 per and thought I'd pop one to see what it's like. Dark ruby in color. Somewhat closed at this stage but revealing dark fruit, graphite, tar and very ripe, and numerous, fine grained tannins. Will not open another for awhile...a long while.
13.5% Alc/vol.

I couldn't wait a long while so popped one last night. Very approachable with this bottle showing the addition of cedar and tobacco notes. Medium bodied and went down easy....nice wine.
