2005 Ch. Lyonnat

Saw this at Trader Joes for $18.99 so I thought what a great deal for a known producer and a 2005!

Opened up at home and it was a strange experience. The wine opened up with a great fruit nose. I was super berry!! And then on the palate, it seemed to confirm that until...the mid palate when all favors die off and the flavours are almost gone before the drink is down the throat. Super short finish with a bit of rough oaky persistence that was not pleasant. Airing out for 4 hours only made it worse. Really strange....Now I got almost a full bottle and I hate to pour things down the drain.....
