1996 Chateau Grand-Jean Bordeaux Superieur

Enjoyed this with oak-fired ribeyes, baked spuds, fresh yellow squash and green salad this evening. In spite of a dangerously leaking cork, the wine was intact, with a good nose, round mouth-feel and firm forward fruit. My retailer suggested it as a substitute for Chateau Moulin de Poncet, that I was really searching for. I'll buy some more; it was very nice with beef.
