Hi guys. I just made my first purchase on my own the other day of a Bordeaux. The storekeeper recommended it for me as a good starter. Let me give you the stats:
60% Merlot
40% Cabernet Franc
Lussac-Saint Emilion-Region?

When I tasted it for the first time it was alittle dry as I expected having tried Cabernet Franc years ago. Not bad upon further research. I guess what I ask now is anyone familiar with this wine and any opinions? Also any suggestions on future purchases. I want to learn more. Thanks-Tom

Hi Tom. Haven't tried any of the early arriving 2000 Bordeauxs yet but did take a major stand on the futures. Any wine from St.Emilion from the 2000 vintage should drink well as well as the Pomerols and St Juliens. WW
