I don't know much about wine but I am interested in serving wine with chocolate fondue using semi-sweet chocolate. What kind of wine would best suit chocolate fondue or would that even be appropriate?

I'm very sure you will get all sorts of answers for this one. It really all depends on your taste. You can go with a champagne or Porto. Personally, strange as it may seem, I have found some med body merlots go quite well. Try Chateau St. Michelle.

Hi Katrina, and welcome to the Wine Board. A Ruby Port (from Portugal), or an off dry sparkling wine such as a Spanish Cava Extra Dry (you'll have to take my work on it, Extra Dry in a sparkler is off dry or slightly sweet) would both work. Californiagirl's recommendation is also worth pursuing.
