2006 Veo Grande Chardonnay

Tried to find more of the nice Beauroy Chablis reported on earlier but it was gone. Opted to try this one from Sam's Club with leftover shrimp in cream sauce, not really expecting much and holding a Sancerre in reserve. Big surprise! This stuff is very nice! Not quite up to the level of the Chablis, but very respectable indeed, with sound fruit, little influence from wood, and good depth of flavors. From Chile's Colchagua Valley, it's only $6.68 and 13.5% alc/vol. Would make a very nice party wine for folks who've just gotta have their Chardonnay.
