I'm not a fan of chardonnay anymore particularly those which are overoaked. This one wasn't. Creamy, sweet almond, bright citrus fruit, and spice (cloves?). Rich and full in the mouth with a nice finish.
A nice wine. B+.

1998? Really? No wonder it's not overoaked. Dennis didn't even give it time to wave to the barrels as it went by.
