Unoaked Chardonnay. IMO the vast majority of CA Chardonnays are flabby due to 100% MLF, horribly overoaked, and boring. The following Kiwi wine is a great break from the crowd:

1999 Kim Crawford Chardonnay, Unoaked, Marlborough, $15. This is a fruit driven wine with mango and pineapple fruit leaping from the glass, crisp acidity and pleasing balance. Great value. Case buy material.
