Found a beat up bottle stored who-knows-how of this, but the over 50% mark-down and the word Gaja made me try it.
Glad I did.
Gorgeous, luscious and exotic nose of Honeysuckle, rose, lemon and cream. 2 of the 4 tasters thought it was going to be a sweet-wine from the nose.
Fruit pretty much gone on the palate mouth except a touch of lemon in the background. Dry and moderately full-bodied, with a definite touch of totally dry honey flavors, nutty and creamy.
Oddly minerally on the back-end, but I liked it.
Really good and somewhat unusual Chardonnay.
