medium reddish purple. big nose of dark fruits, spice and cranberry. big flavors of same, plus coffee and French oak. silky mouthfeel as flavors build on midpalate, followed by a very good finish. big fruit, minimal acidity and silky tannins. very nice bottle, but i enjoyed it more upon release. probably still room for improvement. 90+ points.
