1996 Hess Collection

This superb P/Q producer seemed to be on a string from 92 to 97. This dark brooding ruby-tinged critter has really developed pretty aromatics in the year since I tried it. Lavender, roses and brite red fruits jump out of the glass. Then comes cassis, spice and a hint of mint. Super entry, mid-weight center ana a solid 4+-lapper finish. Still light tannins lurking that should resolve in another 1-3. Kick-patootie bottling. 89-91/92. 27 by the box. 13% alc.
