Villa Mt Eden Signature series 93

I popped a bottle of this wine the other night. The wine was very dark ruby in the glass but one could still see through it. The nose was heavy on the oak but alot of dark fruit and spices. On tasteing the oak was still heavy but the fruit made a good attemp to stand up to it. Hopefully the wine will integrate the oak in time, but right now there is enough lumber in this wine to kill Eno at 20 paces. Drinkable but the wine would be alot better if they didnt let Mark McGuire put the wood to this one.
