..about what wine to pick for the NY Strips I grilled. I brought up two wines - a Ridge Montebello and a Shafer Hillside Select - both from 2001. Judy made me take them back to save them for when we have some company over for dinner. Instead we had a 2004 Karl Lawrence, which turned out to be a wonderful wine. Can't wait to try the other two, though. Judy looked them up on winezap (I think) and the Shafer is currently going for $400. Yoicks!!!! The Ridge is ONLY going for $130.

I looked them up on Whipster.com and it shows with hims in house discount the Shafer cost around 40 bucks. I know fer a fact you normally spill that amount of wine at dinner. WW [img]/ubb/wink.gif[/img]
