Hi. I am new to this site but am starting up a cooking club. The first event will be with an Italian theme and I wanted to have some affordable (under $25) good Italian wines to recommend to the group. Can anyone helpme out on this? My dinner group meets next Saturday!!!

Thanks!

Hi White, and welcome to the Wine Board. Two excellent values right now are Salice Salentino (red) and Vermentino (white). Both are widely available for under $10.

Also recommend Tommasi Pinot Grigio, if you can find it. Also about $10. Had one last night with chicken and pasta in a cream sauce, and will have another tonight. Dee-lightful.

Thanks for the help! I'll give the group these suggestions (and maybe sample a bit myself!! You know, quality control!)
