Greetings,

An ex-girlfriend of mine who lives in Napa just sent me a three pack of '97 Lokoya. Said it was amazing and to wait 3-4 years before indulging. Any thoughts, comments, experience with this wine. Heard it scored very well in the WS.

Thanks

Highpockets

Hi there Highpockets and welcome to the board. An EX ? What the blazes would she have sent if you were still an item? There were 4 different Lokoyas' released in 97. The best is probably gonna' be the Mt. Veeder, and thew worst is probably better wine than 99 and 9 tenths % of the wine drinking public will ever experience. Heed the advice. If you have good storage, put these suckers away for at least 5 years. They are indeed fine bottles. WW

Methinks HP needs to reconsider his characterization of the fair lady....

The ex is still a great friend of my family and does happen to be married. However, I will still except bottles from her on occasion.

Tell me a little bit more on what temp. I would want to keep that Lokoya stored at over the next five years without killing it.
