Back from Vacation!!

Hi all, I'm back from two nice weeks away at Ocean City, Maryland. My wife and I, with friends, sampled many wines...some good and some not so good but over the next bunch of days I'll post some of the tasting notes.

1995 Gallo Frei Ranch Vinyards Cabernet $22
This is an awsome wine for the money. Beautiful dark plum/garnet color with notes of plum, currant and vanilla. Dark fruit with plum and black berry notes with good balanced oak flavors that finish moderately long. This wine went well with peppercorn encrusted filet mignon, baked taters and salad with walnut/raspberry dressing on the deck overlooking the Assawoman Bay of Ocean City.
