I purchased a B.R.Cohn 1996 Olive Hill Cab. with some x-mas cash and was told that it was an excellent buy....any tasting notes and thoughts about B.R. Cohns' wines?

Over all very good wines. Olive Hill is pretty strong every year. He also makes a special selection cab that used to be sold to Chuck Wagner at Caymus. The SS is much more $ though. The merlot is very tough to find but is also very good.
Footnote - his olive oils are excellent.I prefer the regular blend over the estate oil.
Rumor has it the Italians even like his olio.

Cohns` wines are in the top tier of quality and offer excellent value every year. The ex- music promoter has been very careful with his winery and the product he produces. So far the wines are ageing beautifully. Just opened my last bottle of the 84 and it was great juice. Enjoy! Winoweenie
