Big Ass Cab, 2002 Vintage, and this sucker is aptly named. Loads of Napa fruit that continues to magnify the longer it sits. Big aromatics, big enty, big fruit...Jes' Plain Big, but BALANCED. Putting back a box for another 5 and then will start monitering. A real bargain in todays hyped-up market. 90/91. 17 by the box. 13.9% alc.

I saw it here and passed on a purchase...thought it was in the same league as "old fart" and "fat bastard", man I hate these stupid names.

Charming name for a wine. I think they could have at least called it Le Grand Derriere or something to swank it up a bit.

Just got another box in and this is really a ASC!!. Because of the novelty of the name I gave my last case away and the distributor was out. Intend to cellar this sucker 1-3 and see how it develops. Good stuff.WW

A shop that delivers to me has plenty. I am going to order a case. If anyone else wants some I can get it for you and forward it. $14.99 a bottle plus shipping.

WW, tried this one tonight, and for the first time I had to disagree with you. No fruit and a very copper or metallic taste. Almsot like blood. Very similar to a cab I had last year from Grant Burge out of Aussiland. Am I missing something?

Sounds like you had the Big Ass Cab line from Transylvania instead of the Napa bottling.....

Somethings definately wrong GAD. I had a bottle 2 or 3 days ago and it was as posted so didn't bother to repost. Was the bottle corked? Could it have been exposed to heat and burned up? Tons of everything in the ones I've had and with hardly any bottle variation. STRANGE!!!!!WW

Nope, same deal tonight. Couldn't be corked as it was a artifical cork. Just bloody. Oh well, I still love you for your Joel Gott tip...
