Opened this as a backup to the David Bruce. This is a blend of 40% Merlot, 33% Cab Franc and 27% Cab Sauv from Mendocino. We actually could taste a bit of similarity with the DB, so I guess terroir just might exist. However, this was a big brutish baby, and we had to splash decant to get anywhere near it. Even at that, it took the better part of an hour to settle down some. Adam Lee is doing some wonderful things with grapes.

I picked up a couple of these a few months back. What do you think holding time should be?

Well, you could tell it was a real baby, but the tannins weren't terribly huge. I'd say it could probably hang another 3 to 5 years, but it should be settling down nicely in another 6 months.
