wasn't sure which forum to list this in, but since i prefer cabs...

anyhow, i had posted a few months back soliciting ideas as i pushed for the newspaper i work for to expand its wine coverage. well, we're now doing a full page every other week in our Taste section, called Cork & Bottle. Today's section had a story about wine pricing that started on the front page, writted by yours truly. if you wanna take a peek online at what we're doing, go to:

http://www.sptimes.com/Taste.shtml

wine coverage listed under Cork & Bottle. my story is "The bottle's bottom line."

Nice piece Keith. Incidentally you mentioned previously that you wanted your TNs to go into the paper before being posted here. I don't believe anything on this board is copywrited. One of other monitors who does not live in Texas puts individual TNs on this board, and then posts them as a collection on another.

thanks, IK.

as for the TNs, it looks like i probably won't be doing many anytime soon for the paper, other than from our tasting panels. our food & wine critic, chris sherman, will be handling nearly all of that for a while. so, i need to get my act together and start posting here. i've got notes backed up on dozens of individual wines and from 3 or 4 large tastings. life's been pretty busy for me lately, but i'll start getting those notes out there next week.

Liked the article about pricing of wine--I liked that it covered from different perspectives--consumer, producer, importer, retailer, etc. Also thought the one on wine and cheese pairing was a good intro to the subject.

thanks WOW. i think (or at least hope) we'll be doing a fair bit of introductory-type stories in the near future as we try to build the readerships.
