A couple consumed over the week-end. The Shafer is one pretty bottle of juice. Deep clear ruby, a touch of flowers, mixed with a deep dose of cherry and cassis. A silky entry, strong center and a marvelous finish. This wine has a pot-ful of soft, rounded tannins that will take it another 5-7 before it peaks. Lovely. The DeLoach is the best effort I've had from Cecil. Dark ruby color with a massive amount of black fruits in the nose.Spicy and a bit of chocolate in the mix. Lots going on from this Sonoma bottling. Strong entry, center, and a superior finish. Left 6- ozs in the bottle in the cellar overnite and it really came to life. Wow! I'll give this baby another 2 years and re-try. Plenty of stuffin' to carry this another 5. CB even liked it. Gotta stop that. She mite see the lite. WW
