Hi all,
Long time no post, hope everybody's doing well. I'm currently spending the fall working for Bob Travers at Mayacamas Vineyards.
Gonna be trading for some wines at Shafer next week. Has anyone tasted their '01 Napa Valley Cab or the '00 Hillside Cab? Or any of their other current releases?
Thanks,
-Joe

Hi Jpey and welcome back. I put a box of the Napa in the cellar. Delicious wine. We're (3 Couples) coming to Napa in November and have an appointment with Doug Shafer to taste on Nov 11th. His Hillside Select is on my list of buys every vintage. Say hello to Bob Travers for me. The last time I saw him was when he was selling his marvelous 70 cab and I got a box. Was at least 23 years ago as I lived in Denver then. WW

Great to hear from you Joe. Glad to see you are working at another end of the biz. One of these days you'll be famous I'd bet.

Hi Joe, I just made it onto the Hillside list for the first time this year and my first order is on it's way so no reviews on that one yet. The 01 reg cab is great stuff. Hope you are well.

We have the Hillside Select in the shop. Don't recall the price, but no shipping charge.

Do you get much each year KC? Table and Vine gets it as well, but the only vintage to ever hit the shelves was 98 and there is still some there.

Thanks for the feedback! I ended up getting an '01 Napa Cab and a '99 Hillside Select. I'll tuck those away for a few years.

Everybody is more than welcome to come visit at Mayacamas. I'd be happy to make an appointment for anyone! WW, let me know if you'd like to come up. We'll open up something special for you.

All of the appointments I've made so far have been on the valley floor. If it looks like we can make it I'll call Love Bobs' wines. Not for short time drinking. WW
