From the Stags Leap district of Napa Valley, this is a product of a negociant who buys surplus juice on the spot market, cellars it and bottles it with his own label. 5,000 cases made, 14.4% alc/vol. Good Cab nose and flavor profile, medium finish. Think I paid all of $10 for it but can't find the danged receipt. Gotta find more, gotta buy more, once I throw off this ##%$%! cold!

Hotwine,

This may be a dumb question, but what is a "spot market"?

The "spot market" is the daily commodity market for bulk wine.
