From pristine storage, cork removed whole, stained half way up. Still deep red with a tinge of purple, no real browning to speak of. Good cherry nose with brown sugar, licorice, just a touch madierized to my disappointment. Fairly simple in the mouth, but does show good red fruit concentration, but no real secondary bottle characteristics. True to its pedigree though the wine did not fade with 3 hours of air time. For my money the '69 Casks have stood against time better than the '68 and I'm glad to have two more. 86 points.

The 68 has no chance against the 69.66,61 or, IMHO, one of the greatest, the 59. All are amazing bottles. Daniels left a whale of a legacy. WW
