2009 Villa des Anges

Don't usually drink or post much about cab, but I'm trying wines and posting TN's on the facebook page of a local store here, and this was one I tried this week.
I was hugely impressed with this wine for the money. Good typical cab fruit (dark cherry and black currant), but some nice spice underneath it, good balance, and rich tannins that definitely feel simpatico with the rest of the wine. Good this year, and I bet will hold up a few as well,
I've seen it as low as $8 online, so definitely one to check out.
