Took the Great-Grandson shopping yesterday and whenced finally able to sit down again needed a lift. This proprietary blend of 59% cab and 41% cab-franc is annually one of my favorite Napa offerings.Deep ruby. Nose of concentrated black fruits, sweet cinnamon, and a dash of vanilla with a tad of earth. Always balanced, the wine has tremendous depth. Silky entry, lish(lush) center and a killer 4&7/8ths lapper finish Still some soft tannins that should resolcve in the next 1-4. 94/97. 52 by the box. 13.5% alc. WW

Always loved those lish centers, you know the kind you bite into and proclaim, "Deeelish", or when you suck out the center before you bite it's called delishing.

Took CB to the Doc yesterday so rewarded meeself whenced back home with this for lunch. Stunningly concentrated aromatics that fill the room with the emphasis leaning heavily toward red and black fruits and the added touch of violets and roses. Has to be one of the top 10 wines from this killer vintage. Not much room to change scoring. WW
