Best reds

I'm interested in opinions on what years, out of 95, 96 and 97, that cabs and merlots from California are considered the "best" year. I have a store nearby that currently has some 95 and 96 Sterling cabs for $16. A good buy I believe but what year is better. I've already purchased a bunch of the 97's. Thanks for your help!

Cami, welcome to the board. You`ve already purchased,IMHO, the best of the vintages. Between the other two, it`s strictly a toss-up as both were stellar years in the upper valley. You mite consider buying a few bottles of each. winoweenie
