If anyone is looking for a light-weight, fun-style cab, one that is super-light on the wallet, recommend Georges Duboeuf's Cabernet Sauvignon (Vin de Pays d'Oc), at $6.99 a welcome bargain. It works before, during and after dinner; light and fruity, with a hint of black cherries. Last night, we used it with leftover smoked pork, and tonight with leftover grilled chicken, with fresh Swiss chard, yellow squash and beets. This is a vin ordinaire to keep in stock to serve guests, when the supply of good Beaujolais or Zin is running dangerously low.
