1997 Hogue Cabernet-Merlot, Columbia Valley, $9 - 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, made in an ready-to-drink style. Very soft tannins with blackberry and black cherry fruit, modest oak and a fruity finish. This would pair well with a seasoned chicken dish. A good value. Recommended.
