This is the lower end bottling that we had with clients last night in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Restaurant was Golf's, an old steakhouse and one that continues to do steak well for a very reasonable price. wine was $40 in the restaurant so assume retail at around $18.

garnet red in colour, reasonably light and bright (in the dark confines of the restaurat). Bright red fruits, nicely controlled woods, lightly spicy, good structure and acidity. a good food cabernet and it did not take much to finish the bottle. Not a great bottle especially compared with their other stuff but good and serviceable.
