3 neat 94 Calif cabs. B.V. Rutherford was first outta' the bottle. Brite med ruby. No Browning. Nice aroma of red fruits and just enough of the famous dust to add complexity. Soft entry, good center and a solid 4 l;apper finish. Really drinking well at the present and at the top of its game. 90/90 12 by the box. Next came the Beringer Alluvium. Floral, red fruits and a nice touch of funk. This meritage showed just a slight orange rim to highlite the med ruby. Soft as silk on the entry, solid center and a slighty longer finish than the B.V. Lovely drinking. Also at the top. 91/91. 24 by the box. Beringer Pvt. Reserve was last on the list.Deep ruby. Nose of red and black fruits, sweet spices, roses, and a tad of earth mixed with leather. Solid entry, weighty center, and a 4&1/2 lapper finish. Still has a core of silky tannins that need another 2-4 to resolve. Beautiful juice. 94/90 65 by the box. WW
